#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Twenty Two!

Today I really put my artistry skills to the test. It took a few strips of cello tape, a steady hand and a lot of concentration, but I have to say, the end result looks so much better than what I’d originally thought up in my head.

I have to say, I’ve noticed my placement and blending skills have improved so much already. At the beginning of this, I wouldn’t have been able to get that precise stripe of white going through the centre of the purple. I also wouldn’t have been able to blend the black shadow so well. Just shows that practice really does make perfect!

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Twenty One!

Yet another eye look because I’m suffering from a rather horrible break out around my chin area, but this one draws inspiration from one of my favourite YouTubers (you should be familiar with her name by now) Mykie a.k.a Glam&Gore and her very first NYX Face Awards Challenge where she did and Aphrodite inspired look (I’ll post the video below).

My top tip for this look would be that nail art brushes are your best friend. I find it very difficult to control the product on the brush that comes with liquid liners and nail art brushes are the perfect size to be able to do tiny details. You get so much more control not just with the design, but also the amount of product of the brush meaning there’s less mess!

Another eye look today and this one has a little bit of sparkle added to it! It’s a bit more of a fun look, and I finally got to try out some glitter tears.

Here’s the products I used :

This look is mostly about blending and product placement. My tip for a good halo eye is to use your iris as a guide for where to put that central colour, which in my case was green.

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Sixteen!

Calling anyone with a sweet tooth for this look. This one is inspired by my favourite flavour of cake, cupcake and Oreo; Red Velvet.

The products I used were:

For this one, it was kind of like doing a cut crease. I used a deep burgundy in my crease and then used concealer to clean up the lid. I then left a little gap and packed red shadow onto my lid, creating a small wing at the outer corner. I filled in that gap with white liquid liner and then got a little creative with it!

Hope you like it!

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Fifteen!

So we’ve had Ninja Turtle Mikey nails, now I bring to you an eye look inspired by none other than Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! This look is for nothing more than a little bit of fun, though I am considering going as Mikey for Halloween so this makeup could be making a reappearance.

This is a really easy look to re-create. I started with dusting the brown shadow in my crease first as a transition shade, and then I packed the orange shadow over my lid. I dabbed some green into my inner corner before adding glitter on top of it. Then because Mikey is from a comic book, I went for some graphic liner before adding my lashes.

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Thirteen!

So I don’t know how many of you know, but the Fifty Shades Darker Trailer released today! I’m such a huge fan of the franchise so I was super excited to watch it, and now that I have I can’t wait to see it. SO of course today’s look is inspired by the new trailer, which, if you haven’t seen, you can watch by clicking here.

The main thing to remember if you decide to recreate this look is to take your time and be delicate! I can safely say it took me a good fifteen minutes to get the graphic eyeliner the way I wanted it. I’d also recommend using cello tape to get a super sharp and clean edge for your eyeshadow.

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Ten!

Yesterday was Unicorns and today I’ve turned to Mermaids! I went on holiday earlier in the year and the girls who I went with and I decided to decorate our bum bags with gems, pearls and whatever else we desired. So I had all of these pearls left over and I’ve been waiting to do a look with them, so this will probably be the first of many.

To create this look, I first did a simple gradient look from yellow in the inner corner to blue in the outer corner, but not blending too high above the crease. I then matched this on the lower lash line. Then, I took my white liquid liner and first started with a normal wing. Next, from the tip of the wing to just past the centre of the eye, I drew a thin line, following the edge of the eyeshadow. From where the blue started, I then drew a small curve and filled it in to connect the two wings together.

For some little added details, I drew three dots in a triangle with the white liquid liner in my inner corner and then I stuck on a white pearl with eyelash glue just beneath the beginning of my eyebrow before adding a dot each side of it. Mascara and lashes and done!

So how do you mermaid lovers feel about this look? Let me know!
