#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Seventeen!

I’m giving my eyes a rest today so my skin can recover so I’ve gone back to my lips instead. This liquid lipstick is my new favourite, mostly because it actually smells like watermelon. Jeffree Star hit the nail on the head with his lipsticks (and is anyone else super excited for the Lip Ammunition range?).

I’m all about using liquid eyeliner as lip liner. It works so well and means you can have super vibrant colours and even a few sparkles, hope you like it!

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Fourteen!

Here we are two weeks in and I’ve gone for another simple look today using one of my favourite lipsticks.

The best thing about this lipstick (aside from the colour) is the price. I will forever love shopping at Makeup Revolution because the price and quality of their products is unbelievable. I think I actually paid £1 for this lipstick when I bought it. Crazy!

My two products for this look were:

Really simple but really pretty. I hope you like it.

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Twelve!

Today I went for a quick and simple lip look, pairing together two lipsticks from my collection that I love because of how bright they are! (And of course there’s some glitter in there, this is me we’re talking about)

The products I used were :

I think this look is pretty self-explanatory. I just put each of the colours on each lip and dabbed some glitter on my cupids bow and along the bottom of bottom lip!

Hope you enjoy 😘

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Ten!

Yesterday was Unicorns and today I’ve turned to Mermaids! I went on holiday earlier in the year and the girls who I went with and I decided to decorate our bum bags with gems, pearls and whatever else we desired. So I had all of these pearls left over and I’ve been waiting to do a look with them, so this will probably be the first of many.

The products I used were :

To create this look, I first did a simple gradient look from yellow in the inner corner to blue in the outer corner, but not blending too high above the crease. I then matched this on the lower lash line. Then, I took my white liquid liner and first started with a normal wing. Next, from the tip of the wing to just past the centre of the eye, I drew a thin line, following the edge of the eyeshadow. From where the blue started, I then drew a small curve and filled it in to connect the two wings together.

For some little added details, I drew three dots in a triangle with the white liquid liner in my inner corner and then I stuck on a white pearl with eyelash glue just beneath the beginning of my eyebrow before adding a dot each side of it. Mascara and lashes and done!

So how do you mermaid lovers feel about this look? Let me know!

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Nine!

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, or if you know me personally, you’ll know I have an obsession with unicorns, so much so that I actually have a unicorn tattooed on my arm. So, when I saw the latest eyeliner trend started by @glowawaymeg on instagram, I just had to give it a go, but by putting my own magical twist on it.

I have to admit, this was not as easy as I originally thought or planned, I had to redo the unicorn horn so many times, but alas, I finally perfected it and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I’ll do my best to explain how I did it, but I apologise in advance if it sounds confusing.

The list of products I used are as follows:

So in order to create this, (after I’d done my brows) I took a small angled brush and marked out where I wanted my cut crease to be with each colour of the rainbow. Then, I took a small packing brush and went along with each colour to add a bit more and blend it out to how I desired. I cleaned up the crease with concealer and then edged the cut crease in gold liquid liner.

Next, I drew the white wing. Then I took my gold liquid liner and used that to fill in the rest of where my eyeliner would usually be before pressing gold glitter into it before it dried. In order to make the wing look like a horn, I took a dotting tool and dipped it in the white liner and I added dots each side of the white to round it out, gradually bringing the dots closer to the centre as I reached the tip so that it would sort of taper. I then took some grey eyeshadow and created the ridges of the horn so that it look like a spiral.

For the helix part, I took my gold liner and created S shapes so that it looked like the gold glitter was wrapping around the horn.

On my lower lash line I copied the rainbow from the cut crease, and then in my inner corner I made a star out of white liquid liner. After some mascara and lashes, I was finally done.

Hopefully you can sort of make sense of this and I hope you like this as much as I do.

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day 8!

A nice, quick and easy one for you today. You just need three things as well as a steady hand!

day8products

So first I applied my lipstick as a base. In this case it was pink, but you can choose any colour that you like. I then took a matching pigment and a packing brush and dabbed that all over the lipstick to give it a shimmer. To finish, I went around the whole thing with white liquid liner. Make sure you take care to make it as even as you can but you can always clean up any mistakes with concealer if you need to!

Opinions? Any lip art looks you’d like to see me do?

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day 5!

Today sees the first full look that I’ve done. In the post this morning I received a lovely package that contained my first ever liquid lipstick from Jeffree Star Cosmetics and I was so excited to try it that a whole look had to come from it for my 100 days challenge.

Here’s everything I used:

day5products.jpg

Firstly, I apply a pea-sized amount of primer all over my face and then I go in with my foundation and use a large oval brush to apply it. I then take a small, angled brush and carve and fill in my brows before going in with my concealer to clean up the edges. Then with my concealer, I paint triangles beneath my eyes, a stripe down the centre of my nose and a v on my chin, before blending all of that out with a damp beauty blender. For contouring, I first get my base with a cream contour, drawing a tiny stripe beneath cheekbones and then blending it out with a beauty blender. I then draw three small lines around my forehead and blend those out too. With a flat bronzer brush, I take a powder contour and set the cream and add extra definition. With a small oval brush, I use the same powder and contour my nose. I then use a powder brush and add blush to the apples of my cheeks, and then a fan brush to apply highlighter to my cheekbones, tip and bridge of my nose and my brow bones. Base : done.

For my eyes, I drew a simple wing with my Vivid Brights liner and added three dots with a small dotting tool of white liner underneath the wing. Add some mascara and I’m done!

For the lips, I just applied a generous coat of the Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick. I love this shade and I love the fact that it actually smells light watermelon even more. To finish I applied some highlighter to my cupids bow.

So there we go. I hope you love it. What shade of Jeffree’s Liquid Lipstick should I invest in next?

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Four!

Today is something completely simple, but something that’s sure to get you plenty of compliments! I’ve gone for a simple ombre lip from pink to purple. Of course this is totally interchangeable so feel free to let your imagination run wild.

A short list of products for you today, but nonetheless, here’s what I used:

day4products.jpg

To create this, all I did was take the purple liquid lipstick and use the very tip of the wand (though you could use a brush if you prefer) and lined my lips, adding in a bit more colour in the corners but leaving the central part of the lips bare. I then took my pink lipstick and filled in the blank space. To get the perfect blend it was just a case of smacking and rubbing my lips together a few times, and that was it, lip look complete!

I love ombre lip looks. I think they’re a great way to start experimenting with colour but it also allows you to create something a little more unique.

Let me know what you think in the comments!

#100DaysOfMakeup : Day Three!

Today was a bit of an experiment for me. On instagram I’ve seen some people using liquid lipsticks as eyeliners, as well as the full face using only liquid lipsticks challenge on YouTube, so I decided I wanted to give it a go myself because I have some pretty bright colours that would look super cute as eyeliner!

Here’s what I used to create this look:

day3products

So to start with, I took an eyeliner brush (Real Techniques do one that’s perfect for this!) and dipped that into a splodge of liquid lipstick on the back of my hand to draw on my normal winged eyeliner. I added in an extra triangle in my inner corner to create a sort of graphic look and to make the eye look bigger. Then it was as simple as going around the whole thing in my gold glitter liner and finishing the look of with a coat of mascara. I didn’t feel like the look needed lashes, but of course you can totally add them if you want to.

For the lips, I used the same liquid lipstick as normal before taking a fluffy brush and dipping it in gold glitter. I brushed this across my cupids bow and the very outer edge of my bottom lip.

Voila! Done!

What do you think? What other colours would you pair together?

Mani Monday : Disney’s Tangled!

My new mani now features my favourite Disney movie : Tangled. I’m trying to practice my nail art skills so this took me a lot longer than I’d care to admit, but, I’m super happy with the result and I can even say painting with my left hand isn’t so dodgy anymore!

I kicked off with a base coat, and then on all my nails except for on my ring finger, I painted two coats of lilac polish. On my ring finger, I mixed a peach polish and a sort of light gold shimmery colour in order to get a skin tone.

On my little finger, I painted the tip green and used a dotting tool to make two bumps for the eyes at the top. Then using the same dotting tool I made eyes with white polish, and used black glitter for the pupil. With a darker green I added some nostrils and a smile and then outlined the top and there we have a little Pascal; Rapunzel’s little chameleon friend!

For Rapunzel herself on my ring finger, I used yellow polish to paint some hair around the edges of the nail. Repeating the same technique as I did on Pascal, I created eyes. Then, with a tiny nail art brush, I used pink polish to create some lips and a light brown polish to add details such as eyebrows, a nose and strands of hair.

My middle finger was pretty simple; just a pink glitter top coat! On my index finger, I first painted a shimmering pink line down the centre and then using a small dotting tool and white polish, I leaned each side with white dots to emulate a frill, almost like Rapunzel’s dress.

Finally on my thumb, I used a tiny dotting tool and white polish to make three tiny flowers and used yellow polish to make the centres. In the gaps I placed little pink flower gems that I had, drawing inspiration from the flowers the children put in Rapuzel’s hair when they braid it.

A coat of top coat, and I was done!

Though it was difficult and time consuming, I love them! I take my hat off to all nail artists who do this on the regular because that must take real time.

Here’s a list of the products I used:

I hope you like these as much as I do.
